The Town of South Boston is located in South Central Halifax County, within the Southside Virginia region, contiguous to the state of North Carolina. South Boston is sited at the junction of three U.S. primary highways: Routes 58, 360, and 501. These roads provide access to interstate highways and facilitate regional travel. US 58 links the Town with the nearby communities of Danville, Martinsville (61 miles), and South Hill. US 360 leads northeast from the Town to the state capital in Richmond, 111 miles away. US 501 connects South Boston with Lynchburg (59 miles) to the north and Durham, North Carolina (60 miles) to the South.

Directions to the Harvest Festival in

Downtown South Boston, VA

The festival is located on Main Street which is Rt. 501 South.

 

From The Northeast (Richmond/Keysville)

· Follow 360 west.

· Go through stoplight with Short Stop convenience store on right.

· Pass South Boston Speedway on the left.

· Go through next light with Ernie’s Restaurant on the left.

· Pass St. Paschal’s Catholic Church on the left.

· Turn right onto Seymour Drive just past Bridgeview Exxon on the right.

· Follow Seymour to the stoplight.

· Take right on Broad Street. You’re now in Downtown on a one-way street going north.

· Turn left on any of the side streets (Arch, Charles, or N. Main) to get over to Main.

From the West (Danville/Martinsville)

· Follow 58 east.

· Pass Industrial Park on the right (D-Scan, Presto, ABB)

· Go Through 1st stoplight.

· Get in left lane.

· Take left at next stoplight onto 360 east.

· Cross the bridge.

· Take the left onto Seymour Drive

· Take right on Broad Street. You’re now in Downtown on a one-way street going north.

· Turn left on any of the side streets (Arch, Charles, or N. Main) to get over to Main.

From The South (Roxboro/Durham NC)

· Take 501 north to stoplight at intersection of 501 and 58 in South Boston

· Go though the intersection of 501 & 58.

· Get in left lane.

· Go over the RR tracks – you’re now on Broad Street in Downtown - a one-way street going north.

· Turn left on any of the side streets (Arch, Charles, or N. Main) to get over to Main.

From The East (South Hill/Clarksville)

· Take 58 west.

· Pass World of Sports Complex and Movie Theater on the left.

· Take right at next stoplight onto 360 east.

· Cross the bridge.

· Take the left onto Seymour Drive

· Take right on Broad Street. You’re now in Downtown on a one-way street going north.

· Turn left on any of the side streets (Arch, Charles, or N. Main) to get over to Main.

From The North (Lynchburg/Brookneal)

· Follow 501 South to town of Halifax

· Take right at stop sign in Halifax (Jiffy store on the left.This is still 501 South)

· Follow 501 straight into downtown South Boston.

· The festival is on this road (501 S), so you’ll dead-end into a stage where we’ve closed off the street when you come into downtown. At the stage, you can turn right or left to find parking.
